Obtaining relevant information from sensor data is a very complicated process. There have been numerous researchers who are trying to explain this complication using numerous data analysis approaches by covering many possibilities. I have gone through many papers and research materials on the issue of data metrics and though many techniques that works in some special scenario is difficult to be worked or interpreted for vast situations. For a new researcher who started working on this topic for first time and who want to develop a new approach may be confused or frustrated by the infinite possibilities that is comparable to the use of quality metrics. Here in this paper after appreciating a number of interesting possibilities I tried to bridge this gap by arranging the use of quality metrics in sensor data by way of a literature review. I started reviewing research papers on quality metrics and went through a selective process to chalk out different factors that can lead to the analysis of data quality metrics in the sensor data.
